Thanksgiving Day Volunteering

Thursday, November 22, 2012 - 11:00am - 2:00pm

Meet at the LOVE Park statue by 11am -- 15th & John F. Kennedy Boulevard
(Volunteering takes place across the street outside the Municipal Services Building)

Easily accessible by many Septa routes. Street parking available

Before you head to your Thanksgiving feast, consider spending the afternoon helping out in our community!

For the 4th year in a row, Jewish young professionals will be teaming up with the African Daughters of Fine Lineage to serve a hot meal and create care packages for Philadelphia's homeless. We'll be outdoors, so dress according to the weather report!

This event is open to all 20s & 30s in the Philly area. Space is limited, so please RSVP!

If other friends or family would like to join us, encourage them to sign up directly with the African Daughters of Fine Lineage:

Bringing yourself is certainly good enough, but if you would like to contribute even more, consider bringing a donation of any of the following items (new or lightly used):

*A dish to serve: the food is served buffet style and there will be steam tables, so some good ideas include turkey, sandwiches, casseroles, salads, potatoes, pasta dishes...
old weather items: including gloves, socks, wool hats and scarves -- men's items are especially helpful, including men's socks and new men's underwear
*Individually wrapped foods:
including juice boxes, granola bars, etc.

Our spots are "sold out" but you can still try to register with the African Daughters -
